Problem with new w810i housing! Light bleeding on edges

I just put a new faceplate and backplate on my cingular branded w810i and now I have LCD light bleeding through the edges on the right and the left. What is the easiest way to remedy this problem?

Do I have to take the faceplate off again and reapply it? But won't the sticky seal not bond next time?

Please help!

Anyone else experience this when they changed housings?

Sounds like you got a cheapo off of ebay. These are known for this.

Quite the opposite. I bought this one off cnn.cn. On the left side if I look at edge of the screen there is white light coming through. Anyway to reapply the faceplate? Or will that render the sticky tape useless?

hmm.. did you use a foam seal inlay? you should have it since if nothing else, it makes the earpiece volume go way up

Can you be a little more descriptive? I peeled off the white strip and that exposed the sticky foam part and I stuck it onto the internal LCD?

I hope I can take off the faceplate and reapply it differently?

You should be able to take it off and reapply it without a problem. I never ordered anything from cnn till today actually.
