I think the only way to get in is to try a few wrong codes until you get the message, "SIM blocked." At that point STOP. What you will have done is activated the security feature of your SIM card. If you try to enter the wrong security code too many times (3 I think), the SIM will lock itself. To be able to use it, you will need to get the PUK code phone your provider and enter that. It will allow you to use your phone again. If you enter the PUK code incorrectly a certain number of times, your SIM card will be permantly blocked and kill itself.

Unless he is expressing himself incorrectly he said security code which is different than the SIM PIN. They are two different and separate issues. If you enter the SIM PIN too many times you can use the PUK code to reset the PIN. Not so with the security code. The security code involves the phone's manufacturer and not the mobile operator.

If your SIM is PIN blocked you need to call customer care and ask for the PUK code.

yeah, once u enter the PUK code, u'll be able to re-enter a *new* PIN code....

call costomer service of your provider and tell them the story....

As mentioned before security code and PIN code are two very separate things. PIN code is for your SIM. If you mess up the PIN code on your SIM you can get a PUK code from your carrier to reset it. If you've messed up the security code it will require you to send it to a service center. Default security code on Nokia phones is 12345. If you or someone else has changed it you will have to send it to a service center to fix. You cannot reveal the security code on later model Nokias with Logomanager.

I have a 6210. and I need to reset the software because I changed my security code and now I cannot remember it. The phone prompts for the security code as soon as the phone is turned on, can Logo Manager get the security code or does it have to be at the home screen? Will I need to reinstall the software?

Thanks
Dave

That is an older model so LogoManager should work... give it a try... the sharware version will get the code for you...

If anyone has a 6210 out there and a cable, would they mind spending 5 mins to test it? To see if LogoManager can retrieve the security code, when the phone is prompted for the code, not at the home screen.

Any feedback would greatly be appreciated, this is for a friends phone, and he cannot afford a cable if it does not work ... he can barely pay the rent :/

if you forgot the security code for the phone you should use logomanager and connect your phone to your computer via infrared that way and the logomanager software should be able to display your security code, because it requests information from your phone to your computer

Dude way to reply to a thread that is 3 months old!

to answer my own question, i just tried a few other combinations which i think might be the posssible security code. i tried it a few times, there's no limit...i finally got the right code and was able to change it to the default one right away.

I just got mine flashed to 6590i... that lost the security code anyway.
