Anyone knows if palm is planning to launch a 750 palm version? I have a 650 and I love it, but I could use G3 or UMTS with Cingular.

Any replies is appreciated.

None just yet. Its possible, but noting previous Treo releases with CIngy/at&t, don't look for it before November.

From what I heard they are only doing it with the windows software

Posted by: Ardy

If so, it doesn't make sense. Palm just making windows!!!
There are more Palm OS users than windows when it comes down to the treos.

Yeah I don't get it either

I hope Palm's purchase of the Garnet OS source code back will make them integrate 3G into it and other stuff. Maybe we have already seen some of that... "IM" on the leaked photos of the Treo 755p afterall. *crosses fingers*

I'm still disappointed at the 240X 240 screen instead of the 320 X 320. Why do they keep going back in time? I believe the Treo 600 had a 240 resolution.

I want a Treo with GSM (quad bander) , at least a 320 resolution, no antenna, rubbery (balckberry feel), with PALM OS instead of windows!!!

CAN YOU HEAR ME "PALM?" HELLO HELLO HELLO...

isn't that basically a Treo 680, you described?

I am pretty sure WM 6.0 supports 320x320, maybe the next WM Treo will have that instead.

Treo 600- 160x160 pixel display

680 doesn't have 3G it's only EDGE class 10 and it doesn't have the blacberry ruberry feel only the 750 does.

Oh, you didn't mention 3G there.

I want 3G but its not a top priority to me anymore. Id rather have EDGE which has wider coverage and liability. Plus a low cost Palm OS based GSM Treo is always good for me, I dont need WIFI or anything like that... just my PIM programs and the usual Treo stuff, plus a decent camera.

Im happy... not sure id purchase a 3G GSM Palm OS Treo if it just had 3G, better camera, maybe.

I think the upcoming 755p for Sprint is essentially an upgraded 700p in 750 garb.

But I have the 750 (unlocked import from mobileplanet.com) and the 700wx. I had the 650 before that. I gotta say that the battery life on the 750 is pathetic. Two batteries is mandatory for me. That's with heavy email/Exchange Server push, SMS, and voice use during the day so maybe I'm getting my money's worth from a battery charge after all.

Its probably worse because because battery life is less when using UMTS.

Are the Treo 680/750 batteries thing enough for my to stash a spare one in my wallet?
