Getting that new Red Blackberry Pearl soon, how do I go from the AT&T OS in the Pearl to T-Mobile OS. I have T-mobile thats why.
Is this illegal? Is it possible? Directions to a FAQ or instructions would be greatly appreciated.

You can change your OS it's not illegal. Instructions on how to change your OS can be found in this post. Download links to the OS updates have been posted before, try a search and you should find them.

It's not illegal but it's pretty pointless unless there's a feature or bugfix that you need in another carrier's OS. You can't change the splash screen -- it will always have the original carrier's logo. Plus nothing regarding carrier-specific configuration is contained within the OS. It's all handled by the service books. As far as the carrier themes are concerned, generally every OS load has all of the carrier themes as of the release date of that particular OS build. They're just hidden based on the carrier ID via the blackberry.alx file. There are instructions on BlackberryForums.com on how to unlock themes and you can also download many themes OTA.
I don't know if there are directions here but there are on BlackberryForums.com. It's really like any other BB OS upgrade except that after installing the handheld OS software on your PC, you have to shut down Desktop Manager, delete vendor.xml, start Desktop Manager and connect yor BB. DM should then ask you if you want to update the device.

You don't need to do it yourself... it's already done.
