Blackberry 8700g power issues

I have a blackberry 8700g and evsery time i connect anything to it, usb port etc, it showhs me a battery sign with a red stroke through it.
What do i do?
I need to isync my contacts etc immediately before i lose all my info.
Anny ideas please

Could be a bad battery, but try pulling the battery and putting it back in. Then plug it in. See if that works.

That usually means little to no charge. It's telling you there's not enough power even to boot up.
Plug it into the wall charger, and leave it for about 2 hours. Come back, and you should have enough charge to sync (your USB also charges your phone too, so don't worry about your device crapping out in the middle of syncing).
