1.i just got the blackberry pearl and so far everything's great. the only problem that i have with it is that whenever i have no signal or a "call failed" the disconnect tone starts going off. even if i silence the phone, it'll still make the tone. it's especially annoying when i'm trying to make calls in quiet places and it just starts going off... is there any way to silence it?

2. oh and also going along with the sounds on the phone, how do you silence the keys? i've already tried menu>options>screen/keyboard>keytone>off and that turns off the tone on some of the keys but when dialing numbers, it still makes sounds.

any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks!!

That's built into the phone, and part of the actual network. There's no way to disable this (AFAIK).

There's no way to disable that. It's there to tell you that you're about to dial a number, whether intentionally, or unintentionally. The only way to remove this is to dial from your address book, or from your call log.
