PIN Messaging?

Hi, just wondering if PIN to PIN Messaging works like text messaging, or is it real time chat...

Also, does it count towards the SMS quota or does it come out of data? Is it more data efficient than e-mail?

I know e-mail is oblivious to where in the world the recipient/sender is, so was hoping PIN messaging would be similar...that is, I wouldn't get charged "international rates" for say, using PIN messaging to someone in Europe or Asia...

Thx...

Sending/receiving pin messages uses very tiny amounts of data, it does not count as an sms. Sending a pin message to someone overseas will not result in you being billed international rates. This has been discussed before, if you do a search for pin messaging you should find a thread or two that you may find informative.
