Is there a way to download the text messages on a CU500 to my computer? I have the cable and have both bitpim and qpst, but have so far been only able to locate the MMS messages on the phone. I don't want to forward them to an email address as i have over 100 of them.

thanks for any help.

I just looked some things for you and I can't find anything

The text messages are stored on the SIM card with the LG phones. See if your software will read the SIM card. Otherwise you will need a SIM card reader.

If you want just the picture, sound or video in the mulltimedia message, you can save it to the Memory Card. You can place the card in its adapter and read it in an SD card reader/writer. Usually the rest of an MMS message is of no importance.

i'm pretty sure they are on the phone on the CU500. i think that they are in the NVM directory which i can't seem to get access to. any ideas how to poke around in there?

Go to Check Memory and look under SmartChip and see whether text messages are listed there. Also check under Reserved Memory.

1/30 in the smartchip; 120/150 in reserved.
