Does anyone know how to setup MMS with an Earthlink Treo 650. I have switched the phone over phone Earthlink to Cricket. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Would you mind posting how you switched your phone to cricket. After I have mine switched I can do some testing to figure out how to setup mms. From everything I've found so far it looks like you have to flash the treo 650 with a cricket firmware. But cricket claims they know nothing about it and I can't find anyone else who has this mystery firmware.

Well, I got my treo 650 switched to cricket and I did it all myself. The only thing I can't figure out now is how to enable the mobile web. If there is someone out there who has a cricket treo 650 with the web working maybe you could go into the prefs program and give us your network settings. That would be extremely helpful. I working on a how to of how I did it. I don't want to post it until I have everything. From what I've been able to find on the forums is you setup a standard modem connection which dials #777 and you use the phonenumber@mycricket.com as the username and cricket as the password. I've tried this with various other settings and have not gotten anything to work. It gets stuck on the signing on screen. I have a connection setup using the High Speed Wireless connection with the same username and password and have Mobile IP disabled in the advanced settings. With these settings the connection at least signs on but still no web. I tried setting up a proxy server with the web application as wap.mycricket.com port:8080 and it still doesn't work. I have the feeling I'm right on the egde of making this work, but I seem to be missing something. Someone please help.

There is no way to enable MMS on the Cricket flashed Palm Treo 650. If it was flashed with the right firmware you should have SMS, but that is all you can get.

You have to have the phone unlocked first and the right software to flash it. A guy by the name of shadowmite developed a firmware which will install from the sd card. You will also need the latest prl file from Cricket and a special cable to upload it into the ROM. I've gone to ATT for 3G speeds so I'm selling my Cricket treo 650 with tomtom, bluetooth gps, fm transmitter, docking station, 2gb sd, and all the cables for $150 in Austin area if anyone is interested.
