BlackJack no synchronization folder?

New BlackJack owner here and I've got a question that I hope someone can answer. I'm currently synching with ActiveSync 4.2 and with my Dell Axim it creates a synchronization folder on my Desktop that I use to sync with Desktop Apps like my eWallet and List Pro. With the BlackJack it does not create a similar folder. Any idea if I'm doing something wrong or is this by design? Thanks.

The Blackjack is a smartphone platform device vs. your former device which ran on the pocket pc platform. The feature to which you referred is only found in the ppc version. Some apps will create a sync file and sync automatically within their own program. I use code wallet and it works that way no matter if it is ppc or the smartphone version. You can always drop and drag via file explorer from you pc/laptop to your device/sd card.

Another option that I highly recomend is to get the smartphone version of Resco Explorer. When you install it via the decktop .exe option (not the cab option) it will give you an opportunity to install a "send to" function to you computer. What that does is give you the ability when you have an active sync connection between your computer and device to highlight any file or sub-folder, right click, chose send to, chose device, and you can then choose a location on your device or sd card to send the file/sub-dir. Its fast and works well. Only works one way through.

Unfortunately it's true. Microsoft decided that file level synching wasn't needed on the Smartphone.

One piece of good news is that eWallet's SyncPro will sync your eWallet files at an item level and works better than File Sync ever did anyhow. Just open your desktop wallet and go to Synchronize->Setup... . If you have any trouble drop us a line!

Thanks for the information, I didn't realize that it was a problem with SmartPhones in general as I've been using a Dell Axim PDA for a few years now. Now I know

Thanks Marc, I didn't realize that was even there. I'll give it a try when I get home later today.
