Anyone get a P800 from Just-Talk.com?

I am out of contract and totally willing to get back in one to get a P800 for $499, but I am wondering if anyone here has ordered one from Just-talk.com.

If you did could you answer a few questions for me... please:

1. What region was your made for?(UK/US/China... ect).
2. What firmware version did it have?
3. How long did you have to wait after you ordered?
4. Anything else you would like me to know about them.

I can hardly wait to dump my Siemens S55 and Jornada 567 on eBay and move to a P800, but I am trying to get the best deal and not get screewed.

i placed an order with them in January, and received it overnight Fedex on the next morning.

They are extremely helpful and responsive-
The one that i purchased, i believe, they had imported from the UAE when the first shipments started appearing.

I don't know where the current ones are being procured from these days- mine was an unlocked, english system- (not flashed)...

perfect condition.

just make sure that when you place an order (from anywhere) that you ask about the power adapter...mine was a european adapter

I did ask them about the power adaptor and they said that people in the USA would have no problem.

They also said that they could not check the firmware on them before sending them out.

Well, I think I know were I am getting my P800 now.

I just ordered a P800 from them tonight, but before I did I called. The P800's they have in stock (about 12) are all from the new US batch and they just got them in yesterday.

Now, the for the wait! I hope it doesn't kill me, but I have a few things to keep me busy. I need to put my Siemesn S55 and Jornada 567 on eBay!!! I love eBay!

Can you let us know the firmware version when you get it? I'm guessing R1D..........

At this point I'm real tempted to wait for the grey color P800s which will (I'm guessing) have R2... firmware. Course, who knows if that's really coming in April.

Here is an update on what has been going on with my order:
  1. 1. Placed the order online @ just-talk.com on 03/26/03 in the evening.
  1. 2. I got an e-mail an hour later verifing my order and it said I would get another e-mail later with shipping information.
  1. 3. The next day I e-mail them in the afternoon asking about my order status and shipping information, they wrote me back that they are having problems with their online ordering system and that there would be a delay of a day or so.
  1. 4. On 03/31/03 11:30am(CST) I called them and found out that they had a 'flood' in their offices and that some of their inventory got damaged. In addition to that their website was cutting off the first digit in the social security box. I gave them the corrected information over the phone and verified that they had non-soggy P800's still, they did.
  1. 5. 03/31/03 7pm(CST) I got a new invoice e-mail, this one had shipping information and tracking code. I should have it in my hot little hands tomorrow. YEAH!

I GOT IT!!!!

Phone is fine and I got it charged up and running, been moving contacts into it from my Siemens S55 (over bluetooth.. ahhh good old bluetooth).

Everything would be great except for the fact that the Memory Stick DUO is missing!!!! I Checked 1000 times and it was not in the box! I could tell that someone had given the phone a whirl before sending it out, so I shot Just-Talk an e-mail and they called me back in less than an hour! WOW! Talked to the guy who tested my phone and he assured me I be would getting a stick in the mail very soon.

Overall with all the hiccups I have the phone in my hot little hand and it is working fine. Once I have the memory stick and the charge for all this shows up for the correct amount (there was a hold and now it is gone... weird), I will be a 100% happy camper.

PS Now I await the arrival of my order with Executive PDA for a screen protector and the Krusell P800 Horizontic Premium case!

heheh 2nd houstonian with a p800, eh? i love my p800 too... i hope nobody else in houston gets this phone... i want it to be exclusive... heheh...

I know a few of the VP's at my company will want one when they see mine... but the company plan is with Cingular TDMA!!! MUHAHAHAH!! They can't use the phone with that.

They are shipping me the Memory Stick DUO and I should have it next week.

The phone is working great so far and I am a happy camper!
