does anyone know a good program to rip the video from my DVDs to put on my DASH? i've put downloaded full movies (like 700mb) on my DASH but how did the people i've downloaded from get their movies (DVDs) to that size? also is there a way once i have a movie on my hard drive to transfer to my DASH to up the quality? some of the movies i've put on my phone look great on my laptop but the resolution/quality seems to be lost in the conversion to my phone.

AnyDVD.com to rip and DivixEncoder to transcode.

Check out Pocket DVD Studio as well. Kinda pricey, but it is a good all-in-one program. I can get a full length movie down to about 150M, and in the perfect aspect ratio, with just a few steps.

DVD shrink rips the dvd into .vob files so which do you select as the input file in dvdpocketencoder?

Well after I decode a movie I use Nero Recode. Recode does a great job and is fast and very easy to use. But, to be honest I have a 60gb iPod that can hold 50-75 movies with my music, so I have yet to watch a movie on my Dash.
