I just ordered another BlackJack today as my backup/weekend phone, and know a little about it after using it for a week or so prior to choosing the Treo over it for my business use. I was not too comfy with the WM5 OS before, but I'm kinda looking forward to being able to play with it in a more relaxed "time-off" atmosphere rather than do it as my daily business/personal device. I know I will need some operational questions answered...

What are the best Blackjack-specific forums, if any?

Yeah...I needed a backup (good excuse to buy another phone...) and I have just gotten used to a smartphone. So, I looked at another SE w810i, and considered a Moto V3xx...but knew I would be "bored" with those, and the inability to get and read email. So, the Blackjack was the answer.

I am actually still learning the ins and outs of the Palm OS...and I think I like it better than WM5. But I can be more relaxed with learning the Windows OS now, since I have both and I think it'll be more fun.

Are there any Blackjack forums out there?

its not BJ specific but it is windows mobile smartphone forum
they are all enough alike for this to be good place for you
plus, blackjack is one of the most popular win mo sp out there right now

Yeah, I'll always hang around HoFo no matter what. It has been and will continue to be "home base" to me, since I have learned pretty much all I know (not that I know much) from lurking & interacting on these boards.

The fun of smartphones to me, is that I still feel like a total n00b compared to my usage of non-smartphones. I can still find myself very intimidated by the technology, but that "fear" is also part of the fun, I guess. Everything I learn, and do on these phones is brand new territory for me...and I feel like I have really accomplished something if I do it without bricking the phone beyond repair!

Having the Treo and the Blackjack at the same time again will be cool too. I don't have to make a choice this time between the two...and I can just enjoy them both.
