I'm looking for some insight.
What is the difference between these programs?
They all sound so similar. I'm looking for one that doesnt use the internet, and just uses the preloaded maps.
Also is there a 'trial version' somehwhere?
or does anyone have a version they can 'lend' me in the vancouver area?
Thanks
Paul

You can download last Pocket Streets 2006 for free (it was free from begining) if you can find it.
Maps of supported areas/cities are still available on Microsoft's site (and still free).
Trips is slightly more 'advanced' version of Streets.
There are no trial versions (afaik).
Both are crude.
Both don't have enough maps.
If you need some real GPS-assisted software, forget either one, both are crap.
However;
if all you need is just a small footprint software with small map(s), and youre lucky to live in one of the cities, then go for it
because i.e. Streets + just 1 larger map of say GVA will probably take less than 1MB of your precious storage, which is great for older, storage-handicapped devices
and no internet access needed either
hope this helps
