Does $129 new sound about right?

I'm an existing customer, so I won't get a rebate or anything.

There is a rumor that a Sprint store will give an existing customer a $100 discount if he (a) has been using Sprint for at least the last 9 months, (b) signs/renews a 1-year contract, and (c) has not taken advantage of a similar program recently. It can't hurt to ask.

The BB near me has them on sale for $89.99, there is an instant $60 rebate this week. I was just there today and am thinking of picking one up myself to replace my Timeport 8767.

At Best Buy (having just bought a replacement 4900) just tell them you are going to add a 2nd phone to your acct and they will give you the instant rebate, but still not eligible for the mail-in rebate (Sprint)

It should not matter as the ad in my area said no activation required unless two or more phones purchased. The instant rebate is automatic.

I'll stop off at Best Buy and pick one up tomorrow.

any updates on prices???

I picked up a sanyo 5300 pricematched at CC for $289.99 with $100 rebate to bring it to $189.99 yesterday.

Wow! You mean that CC matched BB's price, even though BB's price (like CC's rebate) requires a new activation? That's amazing!

It wasn't easy, took 3 trips to different stores but I finally got it An I think it was worth it...

what will the price be of the 4900 after 8100 comes out??? .. .also when will a brother to the 4900 come out???

bumparoo.

anybody know of a good price on a 4900?

I want to replace a Samsung N200.

Posted by: Forlorn

It was 150 for mine but i was a new customer so i got the 100 off. It's a pretty cool phone.

Posted by: krock

yeah, they were willing to give me $20 off the $149 and then a $50 credit on my next bill, plus no activiation. But I wanted the $100 off the phone. Oh well. Guess I'll buy a used one off eBay.

Looks like I just missed one for $60 that had a Body Glove case and car charger with it.
