ok i have got the software on my computer and i have configured everything. i was just wondering how can i use it with my dash? i have logged on to the mycast account from my dash and i can see everything fine but i cant do anything with them. everytime i click on something it gives me file is not supported or something.... does anyone know what to do so i can use my content on my dash?

Are you able to view any sort of streaming media using your Mobile Windows Media player? If not, then your device might not have it's internet set up correctly.

Also, with Orb you need to make sure you have your firewall set so that it can be accessed correctly from the internet. You can test this by accessing mycast from another PC across the internet (not in your same home network)

This is not an HTC issue however, and might be moved to a different forum

yes i accessed the media from my laptop and it works perfectly. its just that when i use my dash it gives me that error message... can you help me plz

Orb seemed to work out of the box for me - I was able to stream live TV even right out of the box. Is the dash able to play streaming video from other sources? That is where I would start.

ok i have went to the orb test site from my dash and i can watch the test streams fine but when i log into my mycast account i cant watch my webcam. it just gives me a message saying "this file cannot be viewed from this device". but when i log into my laptop or any other computer i can see the webcam just fine and play my audio files. its just that when i am on my dash i cant do anything becasue it gives me that error message... does anyone know whats wrong?

Be mindful of the file type that you are accessing. If the file type is not supported by Windows Media Player. Then you will get this error. Just a thought. By the way i just started using Orb as well so this is from experience. Hope this helps.

i had a similar problem with orb. after looking everywhere and trying everything, the final fix was downgrading to wmp 10 from 11. after that no prob.

i can watch the webcam stream on my computer or any computer no problem its just that i cant watch my webcam stream on my dash does anyone have this same problem and i also cant stream my music on my dash as well... does anyone have a fix for this problem?

You want to make sure Orb has the right speed setting. Try just unchecking the automatic speed detection in the settings.

do i do that when i log into from my pocket IE or do i do that from the computer then going into the account with my pocket IE

hey i found out the problem my stream format on my setting was not correct thats why i was getting that error message.... now that i have changed it i got it working thanks guys for all your help
