I downloaded a theme and wanted to make some changes to it. I was able to unpack the sis file to get the mbm. From that I was able to get the bmp files. Now I'm stuck. I downloaded carbide.ui theme edition but have no idea how I can import those bitmaps to use.

Is there anywhere on HOFO or the web that gives a good step by step on how to make a theme for a noobie theme maker?

I believe the easiest way is using Carbide.UI from nokia. It's what you see is what you get

Why can't you just edit the bitmap file with Photoshop and repack the sis file? I believe that would work, but I haven't used Carbide enough to give a better answer.
