8125 text messaging alerts

I have been reading through this forum, lots of good advice but i have a question.
Recently purchased cingular 8125 and wanted to know if there is a way to assign mp3's as text message alerts. I know how to set them as ringtones but I dont know how to set them as alarms or text message alerts. Any help would be appreciated.

you can put custom rings or voice rings to your messages but he's the catch. they cant be in mp3 format. They need to be in .wav format.
Once you have your file simply put them into the windows folder and they will pop up in your notifications selection.

ok sounds great but one more question. I have found articles where it tells you how to add them to the windows folder in active sinc but my computer is vista and I have to use windows mobile device center. Does anyone know how i would bring up the windows folder to add the .wav file? In the mobile device center I can open folders on my pocket pc but the windows folder is not one of them.

you can either bluetooth them over to your phone or email them. it will show up in your documents then simply cut and paste to windows folder.
