NEWsCASE for the S55

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Siemens has a very nice sleek design, keep it alive by carrying it the way I think the unit should be seen.

This is what we came up with

oops here it is!!

Very nice case. Especially worthwhile for the S55 cause so far you can't get a replacement faceplate if you scratch it.

So where can we buy this?

Posted by: Krusell

where are you from cardingtr?

Austin Texas?

I received my Krussell case yesterday. Great fit as usual. Keeps the phone "slim".

My only complaint is since the phone isn't totally flat, the plastic towards the * 0 # keys at the bottom don't touch the plastic. Maybe over time the plastic will 'mold' to the phone, but for now, those keys are harder to press.

Also, the talk/end buttons are harder to press since they're so close to the sides and are so small.

Otherwise it's a great case with holes for the IR, volume control, charger, etc.. so you don't have to ever take the phone out of the case!

Thanks mitzeclipse for your post!
The case will form to your phone, we call it the golf glove effect.
Tight and odd feel at first, but will form to your unit in notime!

take care!

Nicest case I have seen for the s55. I am not fond of cases at all but this one is nice

Krusell,

Do you make cases exactly like the one i have and the one above, but without the multiadaptor on the back? I don't use any clips and don't plan to... if that is taken away, it would make the case a lot thinner.

Do you make this?

We do MitzEclipse if the demand is there from our distributors, and so far the request hasnt been there.

Hi Krusell

My compliments to you on your Horizontic Premium cases. I have owned two of them (for a 6310i and the T68 which also fits the S55 perfectly) and they are streets ahead of anything else I have used. Solid construction and they look great also. Whilst I was in Singapore last year, just about every bloke I saw was carrying his cellphone in a horizontal case looped to the belt. This is the most convenient way to carry a phone to my mind.

Cheers Mike

Krusell, are you guys working on cases for upcoming phones? I plan on getting an SL55 or even SE T610 and would like to have one ready when I get my phone. Your cases are top notch.

Krusell, I didn't see the S55 in you website..I plan to buy one.

Posted by: Krusell

cardingtr, just use the product search field and type in s55 and it will show.

mediaone, Yes we will be releasing cases for both models.
They are in production now, and should be released shortly.

thanks

I got Mitz case. He is trying out the Nokia 36xx. So no S55 case is wasted here.

Hi! S55 newb here - very pleased with my recent purchase. Looking to protect it, I'm considering between the Krussell Horizontic Premium or the Multidaptic, pictured earlier in the thread. Could current owners describe experiences or preferences of either? What size Horizontic is right for the s55? Should I expect a certain level of diminished transmission/receiver ability with the phone in the case? Has the plastic cover molded over time closer to the keys?

THANKS!

I have never been big on cases but I tried the Krussell cases on my s55 and my n3650... I have to say they are both great!!

I have your cases for both of my S55s, and think they are great.

The only thing that bothers me is the plastic sticks to the screen (screen is so flat and not recessed into the faceplate). Is there any way to stop this? Can I spray something onto the plastic inside the case?

On the Nokia 3360 case it is not a problem because the screen is recessed into the faceplate. The Nokia 6310 has the effect to some extent, but not like the S55.

Do you have any difficulty depressing the keys through the plastic cover? Even without a cover, I occasionally struggle with the keys, particularly the red disconnect button.

Posted by: JimS

I find the case has softened up around the keys, but it sticks near the screen, above the red on/off key.

If you want to keep the plastic from sticking on your screen just spray the inside and outside with some silicone spray and then wipe it off. It also helps to keep the tranparent plastic really shiny. Krusell, your cases are just outstanding! Superb craftmanship! I have bought them for every single phone that I have owned so far. The S55 one fits impeccably but I have not found one for my 7250 in Greece. Any idea where to get one by mail, even though it will cost double?

Still looking for info / recommendations as I try to decide between Horizontic or Multidaptic. Which do you prefer? How well does the S55 fit the Horizontic?

THANKS
