My mother has poor vision and has asked me about a GSM phone with large numbers on the keys, keys that are well lit at night, and an easy to read display. Any suggestions? Thanks

The Samsung SGH-T100 and V200. The V200 is expensive and has a camera (may not be needed) but the T100 is a good choice. Basically same as an sph-a500 (cdma) but for gsm!

Nokia 6310i.

Large monochrome display with fairly large text. Easy-on-the-eyes light blue frontlight. Number keys are aslo nice and big.

I have the silver/beige 6310i and the lettering on the keys is white on silver, not real good for someone with poor vision. Actually I would recommend a flip type phone, easier using the flip to answer and end calls. Check an older phone such as the Samsung Q105, fairly large screen with good resolution, large keys that stand out well.
