Is there any way to turn off the blue light that flashes when bluetooth is turned on?

disable it on what? The phone? The headset? For the headset it's usually in the manual forthe phone i guess it depends on which phone (that HTC S620?) Some it might be possible some not.

http://dashapps.googlepages.com dl the dont forget app

Dont Forget will only give you options with the "regular" led light. It does not offer control the bt blue light. I asked the developer to add that feature and he replied that due to the way HTC wires/controls the bt light with their hardware that it was outside the scope of his current program. Otherwise, DF is a great program and offers some other functions that many find useful. I am not aware of any program that will control the bt light.

Yeah I was referring to the phones BT light. I am using DF and it really is a great program , but as mentioned it can't control the BT light. I was thinking there might be something in the registry we can change to get rid of the light? I would like to keep BT on all the time on my s620, but the blue light is driving me crazy!

You can use colored epoxy, glue or paint (at your risk) or how about a skin (opaque) to cover what you want?

Good Luck.

On an s620, the light is in the earpiece...way too risky.

On the DF forum or questions section, the developer says that it is not a simple registry change and that it has to do with how the bt led is hard-wired and controlled within the hardware set-up. I still have no doubt that at some point someone might come up with a solution, although this one has not bee "solved" for quite sometime.

How about black electrical tape? A very small piece could be cut to fit over just the LED and won't damage anything.

I used black nail polish. I dipped a toothpick in the polish and put a very small drop of paint on the blue light.

Yeah, that s**ks.
I suspect that you would have to then cut a lead to the led/light; preferably at the board so that it may be reattached at a later date if need be as well as to avoid a short.
This is probably too risky for most.

I like to watch movies/shows on my phone while trying to go to sleep and the constant blinking of blue light from my phone and headset is an irritant to my wife, let alone me.
Being G-d's test-dummy, I'm too much of a chicken to mess with my phone only to create a brick.
