Blackjack + HS500 Issues...

I have no problem pairing my Moto HS500 headset with my Blackjack...but the headset volume is extremely low, even turned all the way up. Is this just a shortcoming of this particular phone, or what? Am I just not adjusting it right? Is there any way to make it better?
I have no volume issues with my Treo...or with any other phones I've ever used the HS500 with.
Weird.
