Im considering purchasing the LG CU500 is this phone worth it??

Got one and did not like it. The 3G in my area (central Jersey) was not very good and it kept dropping calls. Also, did not like the interface. However, my dd loves music and so I gave it to her. She seem to like it. I prefer my Nokias or my 2125.

I definitely recommend it. I have had mine since last November and really can't complain about anything. Good sound quality, great reception, and 3G is awesome on it. I've played with a few others and haven't found one I like as much as the CU500. Yay from me.

reception is horrible with this phone. believe me. i had to switch back to my old 6102i. it has great reception. ive had both phones in the same places. the 6102i holds reception way more than the cu500. im selling it.

Go for the V3xx. It's $49 for new subscribers, which is a steal (cheaper than the V3i and even the V3r).

You will find very few people who recommend the CU500 - and if they do, I'd venture a guess that they bought it before the V3xx was released.

I would recommend the V3xx over the CU500. Get the V3xx. It's a great phone. It has not gotten much recognition/Sales due to the fact that it looks like a Razr. Believe me, this is one hell of a phone. Great for reception, even if you don't need the high speed data access.

BTW it's not REALLY $49.00. If you take a 1 year, and don't take all the extra cost features it's more like $160. Just got one at corp store the other day

Go with the V3xx. It is much better imo. I hated the ascending ringtones on the cu500. I couldn't figure out how to change the setting for that. Also, I noticed that I got better reception with the v3xx than the cu500.

got one...I like it some dude showed me how to play videos on it too, gotta find the software and repost. YAY!! the ascending ringtones do suck though

..I say go with LG CU500 great phone.. not many flaws..atleast on mines

It is a good looking phone and has some great features. I traded my in for a sync. The 500 had terrible reception.
