Sync ing A1200 to Outlook

This has been bugging me since day one of owning my phone.

How Do I Sync My Outlook contacts with my A1200?

When I try MPT only takes the contacts off of my phone and then syncs to its own db later. NONE of my contacts from outlook appear on the phone.

I THINK this worked once because I Have some of My Gmail contacts on my phone (I'm not the type to have entered ALL of those manually).
I have the latest version of MPT (as of APRIL 11 2007) and Outlook 2007.

Is MPT the ONLY program that can be used for the A1200?
What can I do??

Johnny, It seems you have two different problems:
1.- Motorola Phone Tools has a deluxe version that includes an outlook plugin to let you do that. You can get it for about USD30. I'vs seen there are places you can download it from also, just look around if you will.
2.- MPT's outlook plugin won't work with Office 2007, so try downgrading to 2003.

Thanks you, but now a new problem has come up:

MPT Doesn't detect my A1200

It did before and now after a reinstall it doesn't.
(by the way this is before AND after auto update)
Please help.

I can think of the following problems:
1.- You may not have the right drivers version. Find the last version and replace them
2.- I'm not sure about this, but try setting USB Mode to MODEM
3.- You may not have the right MPT version. Try Live update. I think the last version is mpt436c
4.- If none of that works, try installing MPT on a different computer.

Am I reading this correctly? Outlook 2007 and the A1200 are not syncable.

The latest version does work, but the outlook plugin is not functional from within Outlook 2007. You have to open the syncronization process from MPT.

HI,

Im a new motorola user, i just bought a Motorola A1200 and im having some problems synchronizing it with mi pc, im using the USB cable and a message pops up saying i dont have the proper software to install the hardware. I've already installed moto phone tools from the cd but nothing happens! this is really annoying!! i feel really lost in here, what is MPT???what are you guys talking about? please help

mpt IS Motorola Phone Tools
I had a similar problem when I first started,
it was fixed by a system reset.

In case restart doesn't work, you should download and install the latest motorola drivers. You can find them here:

or just google "motorola drivers".

Thanks A LOT!! downloading latest driver from Motorolla fans web page worked...my pc recognized the phone, but now i have another problem:S, when i open motorolla phone tools, a window starts to search for devices, after searching, this message pops up: "Motorola phone tools version 4.12 identified by the master number 060105006540 it's not catalogued as an actualizable version (data update). What should i do??
Godddd should it be this complicated??????
