help , i cannot receive any PICTURE messages from any cellphones, my carrier is ROGERS WIRELESS (Canada), can anyone help me out ?

If you have Japanese firmware, you can't. People need more information before they can help dude.

im not sure about which firmwire i have, is there a way i can check?

Well, do a search for a way to find your firmware. I have never needed it but it's something like *17....*.....

Anyway, if your phone is black and just has [2 ABC] on the #2 key, then it's a Euro handset (most likely).

There are a lot of threads in this forum discussing this - see "what firmare is my phone" etc...

Yes, search the forum. I wouldn't rely on the keypad because a lot of JP models have been flashed with Euro or HK firmware.

Bottom line, on the standby screen the bottom menu bar is transparent in JP firmware, black in Euro and red in HK or TW firmware.

Why not just tell him how to look up his firmware, it will make this thread useful when someone else does a search.

No one really knows. We think it's because the settings are hardwired to Vodafone Japan (Softbank) - these days, the settings are even more crippled for the newer Sharps and Samsungs etc... the settings are locked down completely.

since your phone is hybrid tw/hk recheck your settings. Also, I'm not sure with your mobile service but here we have to send a msg of MMS ON to our carrier after doing the settings.
