changed housing now.....

I changed the housing on my GSM Treo650 now the touchscreen won't work properly. I have to open slighly the case then it will work... anybody ever have this happen to them? Then when i snap it together again it wo't work. How do i fix this...

Did you notice if there was a little black foam rubber screen frame thingy inside the new casing? W/o it the touchscreen will not work right. I had the same problem a couple years ago. Take it apart & look at both faceplates side to side & you should see what I'm talking about. If it's not there just take it off the old faceplate(carefully) & put it on the new one & you'll be fine.

This is good to know, thanks! I've been pondering changing out the beat up housing on my 650 for a few months. Was it hard to swap the housings?

Honestly the hardest part is remembering to put it back together right. I left the rubber camera ring out once, and a couple times I forgot to put my earpiece speaker in the new casing. And be VERY careful when prying the back off, the first time I did it I severed my screen cable.

There are some YouTube videos that'll help with taking apart a Treo 650, but I've done it so many times and compared to other phones, it's relatively easy. Just don't lose any screws and be gentle with the screen and it's connector.
