I just called them and the svc rep I spoke to could only find a stock number for the standard battery - and they're out of stock. He said they do not carry an extended use battery. Can you give me a part number? Thx

call another rep - i dont have the number - when i receive the battery in a few days it will be on the invoice and I will post it then if you have not found it yet -

Called two reps, two different days (last Friday and today). Both said that the $49.99 (retail) battery is not in stock.

btw, could it be specific to location?

should have known - I got my battery today and it was the standard one. I have almost had enough of verizon

I spent a total of an hour on the phone with VZ - of three csv reps, 2 said the phone was a Kyocera and told me to call their 800 number for a battery and the last rep said that the phone was being phased out, so they will not carry any accessory stock for the phone. Just for grins, I called the 800 number and those folks giggled a bit saying this was a Pantech.

sigh.....

Wow, that is just sad. I have never needed to deal with VZW customer service before, and now I am grateful for that!

I ended up calling UTStarcom's service department today and they had one in stock for $45 shipped. I specifically asked for an extended battery for a PN820, so let's see what shows up. Strange, but they also said, no refunds or returns - not very customer service friendly for such a large company. Good thing I put it on a VISA in case I need to dispute it....

Wow - huge difference in battery life. I was charging daily, now its every three days.
