Area info on 703SHf / (Japanese??) firmwares?

Am I the only one to find that area info doesn't show up? It's a shame because I love area info, and it's one more reason I use my Toshiba sometimes as it can actually load Area Info.
Is there any way to get it to load on my 703SHf, or is this a problem of all Japanese firmwares? My sister has a 902SH with Hong Kong firmware which also doesn't load area info. However her old GX30 (which had a different UI anyway) would load it... but that's another issue as that was a Euro phone.

No, Area Info doesn't exist on JP firmware, that's why you can't find it.
