My Samsung A707 Sync is always on Emergency Calls Only mode, I know that I have wonderful ATT coverage where I am, if i put my SIM card in another phone it works flawlessly. I've already been through this about two months ago and had my phone replaced. I already had my SIM replaced three times and know its a problem with the phone, is their anyway I can request another phone after having these problems, such as maybe the RAZR V3XX. I need a reliable phone for my job and the Sync does not offer this for me.

I've had my SYNC since the day it came out, without a single problem. It sounds like you got a bad handset, and if you're within your 30 days you will be able to exchange the phone for whatever you want. If it's past 30 days, then you'll have to exchange the phone through Warranty Exchange (do a search for the number). Every product is subject to defects (sounds like you got the bad luck of the draw).

I have had 2 Nokias (both were crap) and 5 Motorolas in the past 3 years. All of these phones had a plethora of problems. The SYNC is the first phone I've EVER owned in 15 years of having a cellphone that has been 100% problem free. I would stick with it (after exchanging it, that is).

I've seen that very rarely. Power-cycling the phone clears it up.

That number makes me shudder, reminds me of the days I spent talking with them to get my 31 day old Nokia 6230 that was broken replaced. I stuck with it though, and they gave me a brand new SE S710A for having to deal with their pathetic asses
