Maybe someone knows of a 3rd party solution, but I have never seen reference to any that will do what you want it to do.

However, that is not what the OP was asking. He was asking if the new message count and notification of an unopened email that appears on the home screen (telling you that you have a new/unopened msg) could be set somehow to also count/show new/unopened messages in the synced sub-directories, which WM does not do. You will only see notification and a count of new messages that reside in the in box. Nothing is posted to the home screen (or added to the new msg count) for msgs in any of the subdirectories under the in box (even though they have been selected under the sync settings). |

Where you see that email/mms count which has "1" listed in your screen shot, that "1" message is only referencing and counting the in box messages and does not count or show any new messages under the in box for those messages that go directly into the sub directories you have set up. In other words --- if the message doesn't get dropped/delivered directly into the in box, they dont' show up in the count. |

Beside, as soon as you sync with your desktop or lapton, those Unread mail from your desktop will apear as Unread in your Outlook folder or sub-directory. |
