I need HELP with my Motorola W315.

First issue: All incoming calls go to voicemail after 15 seconds or three rings. I took it to an Alltel store and called Alltel customer service. Both said my service is already set to the maximum number of rings. But I know that mot phones can be set to ring as much as 30 seconds and 5 rings before going to voicemail. Can anyone advise me on this.

Second issue: Is there any way to get this phone to accept Mp3 or wav ringtone files??? I've been told no, but I was hoping someone out there might know some secret way to trick the phone into accepting them.

Thanks for any assistance you can offer!

I'm not sure how many times the phone normally rings before voice mail picks up, but it's long enough to have plenty time to answer. The other day a friend tried to call me twice. Both times my W315 rang twice and when I flipped it open to answer, it sounded like someone hung up. My friend said the phone rang 4 or so times on her end then she got my voice mail.

That has never happened before. I've never had a call cut off when I opened the phone. We've had this phone since last November, 2006. I'm wondering if some sort of "short" or malfunction has sprung up all of a sudden. I'll be calling Alltel to ask about this. I can't have the phone hanging incoming calls up on me.

I don't know anything about downloading ringtones. I use one of the default ringers. It's called snaggle. It's not a song, but not exactly a ring either.

The is more of a service related topic no manufacturer problem. anyway first you will need to cancel all forwarding #004# send then for 5 rings type this into the phone *004*forwaedingnumber*11*30# send and to use mp3 convert to 3gp
