by the time they figure the crack out the phone and the brew will be completely obsolete. How much is your time worth (must not be worth that much) that you would rather spend it fighting this vs paying the 5 bucks for the game......geesh guys...do the math

Yo what's up? No I haven't. I'm not sure why one would want to since grabbing pics from the phone would still be limited by that USB/serial cable. Did you, and if so, what happened?

That's an interesting idea. Have you checked BitPim's site and maybe e-mail someone there about it? I don't see why it should be a problem; although having 2 different file systems might require the computer to act as an intermediary. Perhaps if they were both the same phones (for example, a friend and yours) using 2 different data cables, it might work.

I am still waiting to see someone plug up two phones at 1 time.

is there any way to delete the default ringtones on the vx8000? I can only put 15 custom ringtones and was wondering if removing the other tones would allow adding more custom tones?

Hello!!! I just reconnected my OLD LG VX4500, since my other phone broke. I was having signal problems. I went about updating my software and I did successfully !!! The only problem is, now the phone says "initial programming needed" and I can't dial *228 to fix it. When I dial other numbers it says "VZW can't authenticate your phone.". I went into the service menu and played around but no luck

Anyone have any idea what to do now? I used LG Download, the VX4500DLL, and the T45vzv04BIN FILE. It ran successfully but now the phone doesn't work. I also noticed that it said "Eri version-NONE and PRL version- NONE" in the S/W version section of the handset.

I can't find any new info on this ancient phone and that is why I am posting this here!!!

Someone please assist me!!!

Thanks, Devils.

Not sure if this is any help but try finding the original software . Reload ie and the phone should be as new if not master reset . Then try upgrading to youe newer software.

I just switched from an old Windows PC to a brand new iMac with Leopard 10.5.1 on it. Anyone had any luck getting BitPim to work in this configuration?

BitPim seems to see the USB "modem"/phone when I plug the VX8000 into the Mac, but looking at the logs, it tries in vain to draw any info from it. From what I understand Mac OS doesn't need phone drivers like in Windows, and I don't see anyway to manipulate the fake COM port like I would in BitPim's older versions in Windows. I'm using BitPim 1.0.5.

Anyone able to read their VX8000 in Mac OS X?

Well im no apple pro but i would say use some form of emulator for the mac to run windows. Choose from - Parallels Desktop from Parallels; Fusion from VMware; CrossOver Mac from CodeWeavers; and Apple's own Boot Camp.
