Another joke about the 903 Here

Posted by: martindesu

haha.

"Optical zoom and auto focus are useless"... I think not.

"Can't do a voicecall during file transfers and a reset" - erm.... it's not that important to be able to transfer files and make calls is it? Use a card reader anyway...

"So it even can’t call 999 if someone is transfer a song via Bluetooth to you. It is unacceptable problem as the emergency call can’t be made sometimes." - no comment.

"However, it wastes lots of energy. Mobile phones are mainly designed for communication instead of watching videos. Additionally, the monitor part support rotate but it is also not necessary to use. Moreover, the phone hasn’t got the second monitor."

I feel he's contradicting himself here. He should just buy something from 4 years ago and shut up.

"Also, the Japan and Chinese characters on the keypad have culture different" It's a Japanese handset - get over it.

" The size of it like a brick"

"To improve it: the size should reduce and the spec is not necessary to be so powerful, 2MP; normal QVGA monitor; increase the sound volume.
This phone tells me the culture is very important for designing interface, it is because Japanese like large size phone with glossy screen, sound volume isn’t important as they always switch to vibration mode in public transport to chat with SMS instead of voice call. But in Hong Kong it is totally different. Voice call is the most important function of mobile phones"

Honestly, this guy

Umm ... CCD/CMOS has nothing to do with the lens.

it is a brick.

This comment is not unreasonable. 903sh is thick indeed (max 28.5mm). It would be really nice if 903sh was 20-22mm thick, which is my ideal thickness for flip phones.

"Mobile Phones are one of the most important devices in our diary life. Especially for me, mobile phone is more important than my wallet."

First two lines. Gold.

"But this phone can’t use the function of voice call during transfer files and reset. So it even can’t call 999 if someone is transfer a song via Bluetooth to you. It is unacceptable problem as the emergency call can’t be made sometimes."

LOL! I never knew that! I totally agree with this guy in this aspect.
This is unacceptable.

"Last but not least, the phone contains a stereo speaker but the volume is really soft. Users can’t listen for ringtone of the phones if he/she walking in Mong Kok."

Dude honestly. What phone actually has speakers loud enough to be heard in Mong Kok?

i like how the guy complains how the camera is TOO good, and it resembles that of a digital camera quality
ahhah its like aww ur making all us 903 users blush =P
hes just jealous we dont need to carry a camera around sure 903 is a bit thick
but its a camera + phone, bet u its not as thick as carrying a k800 around + a digital camera .....and 23 seconds taking to save? bs, i save in 2 seconds max

"It is easily to have error if users suddenly unplug the battery"- Why would you suddenly take out the battery? Of course you're going to get errors if you suddenly unplug the battery- it's not made to be taken out during normal use.

I guess when I kept doing that to my windows laptop that was why it stopped liking me...

Author of this article has to be really poor guy. 903 HQ features can be more or less usefull in every day use, everything depends on user. If someone can`t take advantage of his phone features than he shouldn`t use this phone. Simple as it is.
I love taking pictures but I don`t like to carry DC, here goes my 903 which is 3in1 for me: a phone, a camera and music player.
I also often use my 903 during work to take pictures for factory documentation instead of using our Sony digital camera and pictures are usually better. More important, I don`t have to get back to my office every time I need camera
Yes, I must admit that this phone is a brick, but probably best brick in it`s class ever made

I think Uncle has perfectly summed up why I like my 903 as well.

Posted by: Junglizt1210

What a total moron. Large phones are the norm in Japan. Screw him. It's a Japanese phone afterall.

Posted by: KBoardBox

To each their own I suppose! The broken English was quite entertaining though. hahah Sure it's a big phone, but it's stylish and has features that North American phones could only weep at. In Hong Kong? I guess it's not as amazing as it is here, but it's still a damn good phone. I suppose I should ask him what his opinion on a Treo 680 is then...hahaha

Posted by: sugo

Well well it's alright. Everyone can express their comments. It looks like he switched to Nokia N95. I have no problem with one fewer 903sh on the street

It might be a little off topic - I like Japanese phones primarly because their flip phones have rectangular edges/shape. That makes them look so much cooler than the fat and round offerings in US.

It would be interesting to see which phone 903sh club members switch to at the end. For me, I don't see a replacement on the market yet and will continue to enjoy my white 903 for a long while.

The fact that he's in Hong Kong should mean much more and a blessing to him. HK has really new and hip phones. And for decent prices. Most people in HK are technologically aware of how phones and stuff works.

"The monitor can only be rotate on one side, if users turn it to the other side, the monitor will brake"

as if a normal person would do that
903 is so cool it has BRAKES

lol that was funny, i laughed for a good min, i dunno maybe just me.

Posted by: aw614

the size isnt even that bad, especially since the 902t is larger and feels heavier

Posted by: benrailey

and for God sakes this was released almost 2 years ago when everyone else are still experimenting on 3G... you can't expect it to be the slimmest phone in the market... remember N6630 N6680 and even up until now 3G phones are rather bulky...

One more reason to use my 903 while driving

Posted by: yokomoto

wow, this has got to be the most stupiest article that i have read about the sharp 903SH!
its either this guy must envythe 903Sh and cant afford one, so he talks shi*t about the phone, or... well mayb thats it, because everyone who owns a 903SH should know how good this phone is... i mean if you dont live in japan, then you shouldnt be talking smack... or be having this phone in your hand...

so many crap talking...:

Moreover, the phone hasn¡¦t got the second monitor.

you mean the external monitor? its not that necessary... afterall, its fun flipping your phone to see the time... you get to enjoy the beautiful LCD screen...

It needs 23 seconds to save a 3MP photo

this kid got the wrong firmware... please,,, take a look, its his fault he probably got a chinese firmware... hahahah... and besides, its not 23 second... you're over exzagerating. what? did you actually take out a stopwatch and time it while you sat there for 23 seconds? hahahah

It does NOT follow the standard of mobile phone consistency

do you want to be a flippin dump piece of shyte such as the razr by motorolla or be in your own class, out of consistence and make everyone look like crap./ personally i think the person who wrote this owns a motorolla razr!!! hahahah

The sound volume is too soft
really? you just have poorly customized ringtones! because my 903sh is as loud as Sony ericsons, if not even louder than mosts!!

It is easily to have error if users suddenly unplug the battery

now give me a good reason why you would do that?
"oh, i am playiing with my games on my 903sh right now... and wait, now im talking on the phone with my friend... oh wait, martha? do you mind if you hold really quick? i wanna take the battery out of my phone okay? why? because im stupid!!!"

The monitor and camera lens are powerful but mobile phones don¡¦t require them
you just dont see do you? we are an advancing world, get with it or dont go near technology. get over it.

The monitor can only be rotate on one side, if users turn it to the other side, the monitor will brake
monitors have brakes? hahahahahah... that is great... the word is break dummy... and PS you only need the phone to turn one way, why would you need it to turn the other way?

Voice call is the most important function of mobile phones
i know. and everyone knows that. but a little thing called 'advancement' lets us have video call too you know? its the same thing as voice call, except you get to see the person who youre talkin to 'live' on the other line...
you probably live in a poor country... that why you wouldnt understand....

by far, this is the best mobile phone i can be using right now... though it is 2 years old, you still gotta believe its one of the bestwith CCD lense camera, high tech LCD screen, incredible graphics card for 3D games, nice mp3 player (even nicer if you have the remote ztbaa1 LCD remote), awesome movie player!, nice colors to choose from, and its so much better than your razr phone kid.
