Pearl completely dead...Desktop Manager won't detect

OK. I really messed up my Pearl.

I was having problems with it resetting frequently and would just freeze many times while I was using it. So, I did a wipe using jl_cmder and now I cannot even restore my backup file.

Is there anything I can do????

Did you try to reinstall your backup file only and not reload the OS? If so you need to reinstall the OS first before you go and do a restore. The backup function will back up your messages, calendar entries, tasks, etc... not the OS.

When erase your device with JL_Cmnder, an error 507 will come up - error in O/S.

Like Mod HF 7 said, you have to reload your firmware. Do this by opening Desktop Manger->Application Loader->Next and follow the instructions on your screen.

The update will take about 30 minutes to do. After that's done, restore your backup and you'll be on your way.
