Hiya, first post.

i just "upgraded"(hah!) a whole mess of i730s to ic502s, and just hit a gnarly issue. on the iden phones, you can set d/c alerts to "infinite" i.e: phene goes off until you answer it. these new handsets dont offer that option, which is a real problem since i use these phones for alarm paging and many of the users work in environs where they are likely to miss the single alert.

anyway, my version of p2ktools doesnt like the ic502, so i havent been able to peek in its guts. can anyone elaborate on this for me, i spent some time lurking here on hofo but havent seen a lot on ic502s other that MPT stuff.

i have also played with PST, there doesnt look to be any options available in the phone, so i figure im looking at a seem edit. sorry if im hitting the wrong forum, feel free to roast me- I can take it

as far as the ic502 there is no seem edits (that i know of) I have messed with the seem but nothing changes
the alert single ring does suck but its something we need to live with unless sprint/moto updates this via firmware update.

thx for the reply wf. if i look hard enough will i find a p2k distro that will talk to the ic phones? p2ktoolsVS just hangs when i connect one.

...just had an idea

looping the original call alert tone for a minute long ringer would probably be a decent workaround. cant seem to find any og nextel wavs floating around, just a lot of broken links-- any1 know where i might find them?
