So tempting how the sleek pearl fits right into the 5th pocket of my tightest jeans. But beware, that display is too sensitive for tight pants! Now the darn screen is displaying nothing but vertical lines and I can't get at any of my data. What's worse, people keep texting me and I can't see who it is! All I can use this phone for now is... well... a phone. And what the heck is even the point with a Pearl?
Now I'm pretty sure all my contacts are stored on the sim, and my micro SD card has all my pics. But is there some way I can download all my text messages, notes and the content of my password keeper? I need to get these off before I try to warranty the sucker.
Anyone have any advice?? If I warranty it right now I lose everything I really need!

Im pretty sure the blackberry software will allow you to back up all your TXT's and any items that you want off your pearl when you connect it through USB.
Have you tried that already?

the blackberry desktop manager allows for a full backup and restore. perform a backup from the current device, then a restore to the new device. your new device will have the exact same messages, information, settings, etc, as your old device.

Okay I backed it up, thanks guys. Hey does anyone know of a program out there that lets you see what's in the database file without using the handheld?
Thanks again!

What you can do is sync the device to Outlook, and view the contacts, calender, memos and tasks that you have. Unfortuantely, I don't recall of any way of viewing your messages.
The backup will backup everything - from the device settings to your emails. Once you get your replacement, restore the backup and you'll be golden.
