Is it me or my phone/headset?

So I have the this new Krazr and am quite pleased. Good sound and reception even gets service in my basement and we don't have 850 where I live!
I also have the Plantronics Voyager 510 headset. When I try to use the voice dial (or voice command?) the phone takes forever to respond. I have to try 3, 4 5, or more times! While even my E815 from Verizon and their crappy crippled BT responds instantly.
So what's up? Do I have one or the other faulty or is the Krazr just this lazy?
