Motorola Update Software

I have a K1 and I was wondering if there is software from motorola that will update my phone.
A friend of mine bought a rizr that the clock didn't work on and someone directed her to a motorola support site that had a download that you could run from a PC and update the phone using a data cable.
I searched motorolas support site and couldn't find it.
Any of you guy's know what I'm talking about or am I crazy?
