I have searched and read that many people on here DO not advise using a V3 Razr charger on the 8125 ...

cingular wants 29.99 for a charger but both stores i went to today were sold out ....

went to FRYS and they have a car charger for 12.99 and on the package it lists compatible phones
one of which is the V3 raz the Pble and ect .. and they also list
HT WIZARD / CINGULAR 8125 / TMobile MDA

so

it appears this charger can be used to charge the RAZR but also specifically lists the 8125 ....

safe ??????????????????????????????????

normally i wouldnt think twice .. but after reading over and over on this baord about how the RZAR chargers arent good for it .. and yada yada .. I am torn as to the safety ... but it does specifically say cingular 8125 ....

I bought a Belkin car charger from Sam's Club. It was for Moto, BB and HTC phones. I've used it without problem. It cost around $5.

Any standard mini-usb charger will work

I use my GF's Razr car charger all the time, works like a charm.

i thought the same thing .. but not so if you read on this board .. i keep reading about people messing up their phones and ect using a Rzr charger ..

i have to agree with you . i thought it would work

It will work, but only for 'topping off' the battery. It doesn't put out nearly enough juice to really charge the battery, and if your 8125 is at the point where you get the recharge warning it probably won't work at all. You need a 1A charger to do anything at that point and the RAZR chargers are .25A.

I use the one from my wifes razr without issue.

Among my many Moto devices different Moto chargers are rated differently. Once I pulled out a Moto-branded charger and charged up my v3i and I wondered why it was taking so long to complete... it turned out that charger came with a Moto BT headset that I suppose required smaller charging output. They all look the same without reading the numbers so check the specs... for example my v3xx charger is .550A.

All HTC phones require 1A charger. Make sure your charger meets that requirement otherwise you will soon find your self a dead phone on your hand when the battery is about 20%. It will not hurt your phone but won't charge it under that condition. As posted above, smaller chargers as well as USB port are only good for topping off.
