Transforming Dopod to Cingular (8525)

Is there a possible way to (flash- perhaps?) transform the software of my Dopod Hermes to Cingular's lay out?
Please guide me as I'm new to this.

Does the Dopod have the same specs 850 UTMS, etc.? Also, dude where did you purchase it? I am so into that phone.

They're the same phone except different software thus my question.

Yes... If you can your hands on the 8525 ROM, then you can reflash your 838 to the Cingluar flavor.
