First for all of you who havn't seen the new P700 check it out HERE

Main overview:
Pro's: Wifi B/G, 3.2MP AF camera, 160mb Internal Storage, Improved UIQ interface

So will you be awaiting this device to come out and have it replace your p990? Or will you be loyal and keep your p990?

I think the P700 is suppose to be M610. Unless you mean Lizzy, which from people been saying, its canceled.

Haha see they really should name this phone M700. People are so confused.

I'm with the P990i still.

the p990 is much better with the new firmware. it's become the phone it should have been at launch.

Yeah, but the size of the P700i is killer. I loved the M600i more than the P990i, but because of the lack of camera, I kept the P990 and sold my M600. Now this new phone will be what should have been.....anyone know release dates?

I've been wanting to come back to UIQ, but none of the phones made by SE are really attractive. There aren't that many (at least compared to the number of S60 and WM phones). I hope this does not continue - UIQ needs more phones!

When is this thing going to be released. Ever since the announcement of M600i, I've been waiting for an update with Camera. That's over a year now and we still haven't heard anything. I hope they announce it and make it available right away....

Here's a working link: http://mobilementalism.com/2007/03/...ericsson-m610i/

I like the look of the M600 design, it's size is neat and design is sexy. The only real reason it put me off was the lack of camera. I've suffered enough with the P990i, I only have the march firmware and can't upgrade because of lack of Vista support so I think I have had enough of Sony Ericsson for the next few years. my Orange contract expires in October and I intend on picking up an iPhone or the GooglePhone or either one of their clones, whichever is better. But yeah the M610i looks neat, albeit too late.

P990i has one of the most comfortable dialing pads I've ever used on a phone, it's really easy and comfortable to dial numbers with it, if only the software was faster! I intend on updating it eventually and trying it out of course.

I would take the P700 over the 990. For the 700 size, there are very few phone that has that many function; for the 990 size, almost all other PDA phones can do more and have better ergonomic.

I just hope SE on May 8 doesn't forget about us in the USA. HSDPA on a UIQ phone would probably be my next phone. P700i looks like a really nice mobile.

Somehow I think the P700 will be a European phone which means no HSDPA, no 850band, and Edge...but I'll still get one
