I've been creating my own theme for mt Nokia 6300 and think its ready for public beta release.

Download here (v0.2b)

Let me know if you find anything I need to finish, and bugs etc.

Just in looking at it in theme studio quickly, I really like the "loading" animation but i've seen some OS X themes that had custom icons before so I think you should include some of your own. The stock icons are kind of boring.

Nice.

Few things I'd like to point out

-The white bar at the bottom on the main screen isn't necessary. When the phone is locked it disappears partially.

-The icons look good. Some more custom OSX icons for other sub menus would be nice as well.

-Inactive text is not visible well since the background is light. Make the backgrounds a little darker.

I'll play around with it some more and see if I spot any other problems.

Good stuff though.

I've never made a theme before so I'm still getting to grips with the program, I'll post the next version some time tonight.

(I would've used the preview in the theme creator, but it looks much much better on the actual phone.)

When the phone is locked, the bar is still fully visible (at least on my phone), the "Unlock" text appears in the middle of the bar. Are you using this theme on a 6300 or some other S40 phone?

I know in the themes editor it does show only the right part of the bar, but on the actual phone it shows the full bar.

As for the other icons, I don't think you can actually change any of the other icons, but I'll look into it.

Also, the inactive text, where is this? Are you talking about the text when you open the main menu and press 'options'? I'm also looking into that, but the themes editor is pretty crappy and doesn't update the preview immediately.

Version 0.3b

- Added screensaver
- Changed the options text to black so the user can actually read it now.
- Probably some other stuff I've forgotten.

That looks excellent. I'm using it on my 6300 at the moment. Love the screensaver as well.

Just one thing, would it be possible to get rid of the bars on the main screen (like Noir) so that I can use wallpapers of my choice without the top and bottom being chopped off?

love it though. you've put in effort and unlike many of the crappy themes out there, this ones actually elegant.

I don't mind the bars in the menus. Just the main screen. Whatevers easier for you really. I don't know how Theme Studio works so I'll leave it to you.

One problem is bottom bar, or at least "Unlock" bar which goes on top of wallpaper yet it doesn't stretch all the way on the bottom, so it looks like a white brick on top of the wallpaper...

Hi, I´ve tried to download the theme but when i click in the link in only apears characters, and when i try to save with right mouse click it downloads as a ZIP. How do i convert it to .nth for my phone.

Just save as, and rename it from ZIP to .nth

hello, thxs for that theme but when i download it, the result is a folder (with 28 files)and not un file... and my nokia 6300 doesn't recognize it like a theme

what shall i do ?

Just tried the theme, its great. (v2.1)

Just a little thing though...when you say click settings, the menu bar down the bottom breaks.. is there anyway around that?

click the download
click save
a box pops out for you to save right...
select All files instead of .zip
for the name part.. add .nth to the end

this should work man! works for me...

hey im eager to get this theme but when i try applying it on the phone it says . 'not enough memory' the phone has not got much memory left only bout 200k but my memory card has approx 100 meg free is it due to the phones memory?

move some stuff to your memory card first... iv had this problem before... try to leave atleast a meg free on your phone memory... it will help everything out

hey peeps. can someone please make me a really good iphone theme with all of the icons on them main menu and the camer and music player etc etc. i would make 1 my self but the program dosent seem 2 work on windows vista! can some please reply me in a private message cuz i will more likely read it there than anyware else! cheers brad

hey on my 6300 i made a theme and when i set it it comes up with a bluea bar at the top of the screen and one on the bottom of the screen. it does it on some themes i download aswell. does anyone now hot to get rid of it cuz its really buggin me!!! write back in a private message plz. thanks. it's not exactly the same.

Different use of icons, the bottom and top bar are different, and different start up animation.

I'm in the middle of making a similar theme too (but with darker edges) does it mean that I'll be copying him too? No. It means that I'm copying OSX.

Anyone want to make a theme like this, but with the new Leopard OS X 10.5? Have got one, but with the nasty blue bars on the desktop because it's for older S40 versions....
