Making mp3's on dash ringtones?

1)Get an MP3 from wherever.
2)Use a program like MPtrim to trim the part of the MP3 that you want as your ringer. (optional)
3)Put the trimmed MP3 in the root directory of your storage card.
4)Go into your settings and select the ringer you've created.
Presto!

I have the mp3's on my storage card but when i go into menu/options of that sort there isnt a option

Is it in the root directory of your storage card?
You don't want it in any folder.

i have a folder that say STORAGE CARD that i made when i put the mico sd card into my phone then used WMP.
