V3XX vs Sync?

Debating picking either one of these up ($50 through Premier) as a backup (and possibly as main phone for short while).

Anyone ever owned both? Pros/Cons? I'm leaning towards the V3XX, but the Sync seems to be pretty decent too. Seems like the Sync can be tethered. Can the V3XX tether also?

cheers

V3xx hands down. Way better RF, UI is fast, better battery life... I tether with my V3xx no problem.

The v3xx can be tethered... I've owned both and even though sync has better features on paper such as 2mp camera and touch sensitive buttons on the flip the v3xx is still alot better in my opinion. For one the rf on the v3xx is better and holds on to a 3G signal better where as wit my sync with the slightest breeze it would lose its 3G signal and go to edge lol! The battery life is a little bit better on the v3xx also, talk time is alot longer on a v3xx. Also both have a2dp but only on the v3xx can you use your regular bluetooth headset to listen to music and also hear your set ringtones through the headset and not just the phone! The v3xx is capable of faster downloads than the sync, and its phone browser is better (v3xx comes wit opera browser already on it!) The only thing i can give the Sync props on is the camera cuz its 2mp (altough the v3xx takes good pics for it only being 1.3) and the sync has one of the best screens ive seen so far, but other than that my choice would be the v3xx!

One thing that bothers me with the V3XX is that it's only triband GSM (850/1800/1900). Could be an issue for traveling.

cheers

That shouldnt be an issue unless your going overseas... i believe roaming here in the states is only 850 and 1900

Not worried about roaming in the U.S. What I was asking is if the lack of 900 is a problem when traveling oversees or places like the Caribbean? Or is 1800-only fine in most oversees places?

thnx
