Small button on 8525

There's a small round dot of a button, perhaps twice the wide of the stylus-point, on my Cingular 8525. It's on the slide-out keyboard, just above the P-key. It's gray plastic, and just barely translucent.

I initially assumed it was the reset button, but when the time came for my first post-app-install soft-reset, it did nothing, except make a clicking sound that suggested to me that I'd snapped something open, and it took a slight dent from the stylus.

The manual doesn't seem to mention it, and I have by now found the genuine reset button. What is it? The water indicator? Eject button? Technician Proximity Switch? Nuclear Launch Authorization?

AdTHANXvance!

That "button" is the light sensor. If you cover it up while using the keyboard, the backlight on the keys will light up.

Ah, so it is, and better still, I didn't break it by pushing it!

Thanks!
