Updating Firmware on Nokia E62

Okay, i'm trying to update my firmware with nokias update program (watever it's called) and i can't seem to get it done. It saids that my phone isn't supported but i selected my phone from the list at download site. My firmware version right now is

2.0618.06.12
10-08-06
RM-88

is this the current version and that's why it doesn't have any updates or am i just doing it wrong?

err where would i find the product code? Is the bar codes where the batteries are? If so then

alright i learned how to change from cingular to a generic code but i still get the same error. I can't find any help anywhere for this matter because i'm not getting any update or anything. It's just that NSU does not support my phone at all. All i'm getting is the same error message and it's driving me nuts. I changed my code to 0538175

Any tips to get NSU working? It constantly crashes on my system. I have reinstalled, disabled firewalls and tried multiple different downloads. Any one else experience this?

there's no updates but that isn't the problem. The problem is that NSU does not even recogize my phone. I mean at least it should say something like no new updates or your phone has the latest firmware. But all it saids that it doesn't support my phone. I don't know o well i'm just gonna leave it as it is, thanks for all the help.

Try uninstalling Nokia Pc Suite and then reinstall NSU and try again.

np, but maybe u should try another s60 phone to see if thats the case. If it is, then there is something wrong with your nsu.

Tried. And it still launches the splash screen and goes away. I do not get a dialog box or window after the splash screen. Any other ideas?

yeah sorry i have no idea, if you'd ask me something about blackberry then i would be able to help. I am also new to nokia phones, my last nokia was the 8290 way back then.

also, try updating the usb driver on the nokia website.

sounds like its your pc's prob more than anything...

I've read that Cingular has asked NOKIA to remove the E62 from the update service.

Therefore there is no NSU for the CINGULAR E62

nothing is great about it...just a e61 stripped down provider version.

Heh, if anything I'd get the E61i. Alas, I've already gotten an N73, and I don't think they're of equivalent value in trade.
