Hi there,

I purchased a Japanese Sharp 903sh, and I would like to change the firmware to an european one, since the jap. one doesnt play MP3 files, but i dont know what to do to change the firmware.

Also, i dont know if i can ask this here, but can a Jap. 903sh manufactured on 2006 February can be unlocked?

I dont know what to do, any help would be apreciated!

You can flash urself, you need cruiser 4in1 cable and you can use TotalMultiServer.

You can send to someone else to flash (safer than doing it yourself).

And yes... ANY 903sh can be unlocked; even February 2006.

Im located in Mexico City, and can send to USA with no problem, is there any guy that you recomend for flashing it?

The units manufactured in dec 05 and there after require you to take the mobile apart to access the test point to flash it properly.

correct. i have a feb 07 model as well and i had to get some one to take it apart and do a test point flash

just check if some one in your area can do it for you first (local privatly owned cell phone shops)

The problem is, no one in Mexico knows even about the existance of the Sharp phones... so i need to send it to somewhere else to unlock and reflash... Any one know who might be able to do it? Or where can i ask?

ace had his 903sh unlocked there, so i think he can flash them too.

they dont unlock 2006 models, ace's was an 8/2005 build

All 2006 and some Dec 2005 models need to be disassembled to ensure a stable unlock. With 903sh, however, there is no guarantee those ones will be stable even when unlocked. As anyone knows, taking it apart to unlock just makes it more likely to get problems in the future.

I also strongly recommend iUnlock. They do and guarantee a good job. If they do not want to unlock it, it definitely means possibility for instability and problem even when unlocked.

I strongly discourage the use of Total Multiserver. I had personally used it with their cruiser cable and it was a total disaster and nightmare with endless frustration. Don’t just listen to me. Go online and read about others’ comments and you will know why.
