alright, i tried flashing the phone, and good news is, me phone isnt COMPLETELY dead anymore. bad news, im back at square one. turns on, initializes, able to play around for 5 seconds, shuts off, restarts. idk what to do anymore. what does it sound like to you guys? firmware or hardware problem? or user error?

Posted by: marco712

I think it's a goner.
I was msging a local flasher about the constant starting up problem before, he told me not to waste money on flashing it and just dump it.

make sure battery is fully charged and try powering on with #+power.

if it doesnt fix it, you can send it my way and I can try to flash it for you for cheap ...

did you master reset after flash ?

Posted by: CommanderZero

ive always said ill send it to someone as a last resort, but i guess im out of options...i guess ill send it to kev. but can you check if its a firmware problem if you can, maybe like i pay you only if you get it to work? ...and how much is "cheap"

btw if i use the japanese firmware, the phone will just stay on until the battery dies. if i use the euro firmware, it get worse and worse until it only stays on for like 1 second. if i use the taiwan firmware, i can lay around with it for about 5 seconds. same with the chinese firmware. im using a cracked se-tool 2 and the flash cable from cellcorner.com. im not using the battery, just the charger. i can only get it to work if i start the flash, and plug in the charger when it tells me to. ill try to use the battery right now. yeah, i did try master reset (#+power)
and i cant get past the 3rd step. i cant seem to use the master reset on the jp firmware though.

well, i tried with the euro firmware, and only gets to the please wait. doesnt turn off.

Sorry Gotta say ,- its a firmware problem!! just flash it to the safest firmware which is HK-1.05x smartone firmware which is what i recomend!! ive had no problems whatsoever!!!!!

Posted by: Kevbodian

hehe... it may not be as simple as a firmware problem.

@commander

PM me to set this up if you like.

Posted by: CommanderZero

man, i already tried usin gthat firmware. no luck. i guess ill PM kev.

oh i had that.. its only firmware..
in my case, it happened when i tried to downgrade my HK firmware to Japanese.
sigh.. apparently u can't do that.. and it will cause random resets.. eventually leading to the intalization -reset- restart- repeat..

Posted by: otakki

Sounds like you have to use the JPN firmware since it is not causing any problem at all...definitely better than ending up with a brick.

Posted by: Maikurukun

..hum.. it was because i wanted JPN firmware.. that caused it to crash.
HK firmware is ok.... not as good as JPN but oh well.
