I posted a similar message in the Windows Mobile forum. I apologize for the duplication. I wasn't sure if everyone who reads this area also reads the other.
Wasn't sure of the best place to post this since I was unsure if it was a Cingular specific problem or a general Windows Mobile problem.
I've been running a Cingular 8125 for several months. Except for times when my Exchange hosting company has been down, push email has worked great.
This morning I noticed that my device had not registered any new emails over the evening. Thinking that odd, I did a manual send/receive. It reported nothing new. I noticed that at the top of the device the "rounded arrows chasing each other" icon that appears when email interaction is happening never appeared.
Still thinking this was odd, I reset the device. At this point about a dozen new email rang in. I chalked it up to some kind of device lock up. Mid morning today I noticed the same situation with no email. I followed the same process. No email came in until after the reset.
I've now gone through several more iterations of this.
I've also tried sending email from the device. It is as if it goes off into a black hole. It is never received.
Is this a phone network problem, a device problem, or what? And more importantly, how do I resolve this?
I haven't changed any hardware/software on the my device in over a month. I run a bare-bones configuration. The only non-standard app running on my device is Pocket Weather.
