Can you make 8525 automatically wake when plugged in?

My 8525 has a problem when I dock it while it is sleeping. It will not get recognizd by the PC until I manually hit the power button. No big deal, except...

If I cradle it while it is asleep, it will never sync with my PC - the Activesync icon just keeps spinning forever. If I forget to turn it on when I dock it, then take it out, turn it on and re-dock it - same problem. It requires a soft-reset to re-sync.

If I turn it on before putting it in the dosck, everything works perfectly.

I'm wondering if there is a way to tell the unit to auto-on when It gets power. My old Axim PDA did this. Of course, I'd like to have a separate profile so that when it gets power, it also switches to a different ring (loud when docked, vibrate when undocked) - my old Moto std phone could do that.

Any suggestions out there?
